Type Locality and Naming
Near the village of Uzunkuduk, Central Kyzylkum. I.M. Abdurazimova, E.M. Shvetsova, 1987 (27, p. 56).
Synonym: Uzunkuduk Suite, Узункудукская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Lagoonal-continental, rarely marine, variegated, predominantly red-colored, clays, siltstone (aleurolites), sandstones with layers of gravelites and conglomerates. Thickness 20-106 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Conformably overlies and is eroded in Central Kyzylkum on the Dzhamanjar Fm (Jamanyar suite); in Western Ustyurt, South Pre-Aral, Pitnyak Uplift - on the Sultanbobin Fm.
Upper contact
Conformably overlain in Central Kyzylkum by the Shuruk-Cret Fm; on Western Ustyurt, South Pre-Aral - by the Kenes Fm; on the Pitnyak Uplift - by the Sultansandjar Fm.
Regional extent
Western Ustyurt, South, Southeast Pre-Aral, Central Kyzylkum, Pitnyak Uplift, Khorezm Depression. Exposed by boreholes. Stratotype - section of borehole 37, 8 km west of the village of Uzunkuduk, western end of the Auminzatau Mountains.

Contains foraminifera - Haplophragmoides rosaceus Subb., H. umbilicatulus Dain, Pseudobolivina curviseriata Mam.; complex of spores and pollen (%) - Taurocusporites reduneus (Bolch.) Stov. (0-4), Stenozonotriletes radiatus Chl. (0-2), Gleicheniidites senonicus Ross (4-32), G. laetus Bolch. (1-9), Ornamentifera echinata (Grig.) Bolch. (0-1), Classopollis sp. (2-15), Inaperturopollenites Dubius (Pot. et Ver.) Th. et Pf. (4-33), Trocolpites sp. (1-2).
